Main Responsibilities
- Education: Improving the infrastructure and facilities of schools under the Panchayat, overseeing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, and coordinating literacy activities are among the responsibilities of this committee.
- Public Health: Evaluating the functioning of Primary Health Centres, leading communicable disease control activities, and implementing sanitation programmes.
- Drinking Water: Ensuring the supply of drinking water in the wards and protecting water sources.
- Social Welfare: Overseeing the welfare of women and children, the functioning of Anganwadis, and the distribution of nutritional supplements.
- Arts & Sports: Promoting local arts and sports activities and supporting cultural centres.
